This address is for reporting corrections, errors and omissions on this site. It is not a help line and not an advice channel. Every figure on this site cites the CMS or SSA document it came from, so a disagreement is something we can check against that document.

We read every message. We cannot always reply, but a correction gets acted on.
This is not a help line. We are not licensed as financial advisors, tax preparers, insurance agents or attorneys, and we do not give advice about anyone's individual situation. Messages asking what you should do will not get an answer, because giving one is not something we are permitted or qualified to do.
If you need help with your own Medicare position, two places can give it: Social Security on 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program at shiphelp.org, which is free, unbiased and staffed by trained counsellors. The official forms recommend SHIP themselves.
Every figure here cites the CMS or SSA document it came from. If one does not match, tell us: we will check it against the source, fix the page, and note when we did.
What is worth sending
- A figure that disagrees with CMS or SSA. Send the page URL and the number, and the correct figure if you have it.
- An arithmetic error. Our tables and calculators derive from published figures — a total that does not add up, a threshold that lands wrong, headroom that looks off.
- A broken or outdated link to a government form or notice. CMS and SSA move these, and a dead link on a page about official sources is worse than no link.
- A figure that has been superseded. If CMS publishes new numbers before we notice, tell us. Our pages carry the date of the document they are built from.
- A question these pages should answer and do not. If a page omits a fact that is in the source document, say so.
- Something confusingly worded. Point at the sentence and we will rewrite it.
What this address is not for
Advice about your own situation. We do not give it. We publish arithmetic on published figures and show the sources; we will not tell you whether to make a Roth conversion, which plan to choose, when to enrol, or what to put on a form. We will not answer requests for personal advice — see our standards.
Anything about your account. We have no access to your Medicare or Social Security records, your determination notice, or your premiums, and no way to get it. Only Social Security does.
Buying anything. We sell no insurance, take no commissions and pass your details to no agent. The site is paid for by display advertising instead, which is so there is no commission here to steer anyone toward a plan — see how this is paid for and what the ads mean for your data.
What happens to your email
Nothing beyond us reading it. We do not run a mailing list, we will not add you to one, and we do not pass addresses to anyone. There is no newsletter to decline, because there is no newsletter.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, Medicare numbers, account details or medical information. We do not need any of it, and email is not a safe place to put it.
