Privacy and cookies
What this site collects, what it does not, and what our advertising partners may set in your browser.
What we ask you for
There is no account, no sign-up, no newsletter and no form on this site. The only way to send us anything is to email the corrections address, and then we have whatever you chose to put in the email.
There is no account to create, no wall to get past, and no newsletter. If you email the corrections address, we have your message and your address, we use them to answer you, and we do not add you to anything.
The income box on the bracket tables
The bracket tables let you type an income to highlight your row. That figure is handled by JavaScript in your browser. Our code does not transmit it to us and does not store it. It is gone when you close the tab.
Advertising partners' scripts run on these pages. We do not pass the figure you type to them. We describe our own handling of it rather than any third party's.
Server logs
Serving a page means receiving a request. Our host processes and may log request data including IP address, user agent and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not build profiles from it and we do not have a separate analytics product installed.
Advertising and cookies
This site is supported by display advertising. Our advertising partners may set cookies and similar technologies on your device to select, deliver and measure advertising, including advertising based on your activity across other sites. These cookies are set by those partners, not by us, and are governed by their own privacy policies.
We do not sell insurance, generate leads or take paid placements, and we do not provide any advertising partner with email addresses or any other information you send us.
These controls are run by the advertising industry, not by us, and they work across sites rather than only here.
- Google Ad Settings — Google's personalised advertising, if Google is one of the vendors
- YourAdChoices (DAA) — Participating US advertising companies
- Network Advertising Initiative — Participating NAI member companies
- Your Online Choices (EDAA) — Participating companies in Europe
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to or deletion of personal information about you, and to opt out of its sale or of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. We hold no accounts and no customer database, so in most cases the only information we hold is an email you have sent us. Advertising identifiers are held by the advertising partners rather than by us; the opt-out links above are the route to those.
We honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of sale and sharing.
To make a request, email the corrections address and say what you are asking for. That address is normally for corrections to the figures, but privacy requests are read there too.
Children
This site is about Medicare, which is for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change, and revise the effective date above when we do.
